Boys’ Tennis Trip
“I’d definitely go again,” Ajay Shroff ’28 said, reflecting on the Boys’ Varsity Tennis trip to a tennis academy in Long Beach, California.
The team met students from the academy and received advice from its tennis coaches.
Team members played singles and doubles and participated in team-bonding activities together, such as bowling, mini-golf and a beach day.
One of the highlights of the trip was when the team attended a college tennis match between Harvard and UC Irvine, Ajay said.

Ajay and Co-Captain Jonathan Andreoli ’26 said they enjoyed getting to know Coach Alex Comerchero, a new face on the team.
“We spent a lot of time with him on the trip, so we got closer with him,” Jonathan said.
The trip is a unique part of the tennis season, Jonathan said.
“Number one: we get to train a lot. There’s a lot of practice, much more than we would train here at school. But, also, team bonding is a big thing. We never get that much time together, especially a whole week together.”

Girls’ Softball Trip

Over spring break, Varsity Softball visited Orlando, Florida, where they practiced and played games, as well as bonded with their teammates.
“People got closer with people outside their grades and became more confident in their softball skills,” Varsity Softball player Sarah Baker ’28 said. “It was supportive. There was a good atmosphere between the grades. There was a really good balance between softball and social activities.”
First-year Varsity Softball player Bri Vazquez ’28 enjoyed getting to know her teammates through the trip, she said.
“It was nerve-racking at first, but the team was really welcoming. It was so much fun. … I feel like the team got a lot closer.”
