Why did you go into teaching?
Teaching is the best because, on the one hand, I get paid to talk about reading and theory (amazing), and on the other, I get to learn from my students and colleagues and support them in their own learning.
Why did you choose to teach at the school?
I was lucky enough to have a stable and meaningful job before this, so I could be intentional when I was looking for my next one. From everything I had heard, BB&N was committed not just to providing quality and meaningful education to its students, but to growing as a whole community, so it was really exciting when this job opened up. I wanted to keep learning how to be a better educator and a better person, and I was excited to be part of a community that valued this.
Highlight from the summer?
My whole summer is highlighted! There’s been camping, live music and theater, spending time with friends and family, but perhaps the biggest is getting ready for my start at BB&N!
