What was your dream job in kindergarten?
Though many kids do, I ironically was not one who dreamed of being an architect! I honestly dreamed of being a teacher. I used to play “school” with my stuffed animals. I also loved to draw, and that is indeed now one of the primary parts of my work.
Why did you choose to teach at the school?
I found BB&N’s core values of inquiry, integrity, belonging and kindness to be very much aligned with my own values. It’s rare to find architecture taught at the high school level, so I’m grateful to be part of this unique learning community.
Highlight from the summer?
My daughter took her first steps in late spring, so the highlight has been watching her grow in confidence and really find her footing over the summer. She’s running by now, of course!
