Each year, viewers tune into the Met Gala red carpet to see Hollywood’s favorite celebrities and designers get creative with their look. For this year’s Met Gala, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour selected the theme “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” Unfortunately, many missed the mark aesthetically, like Camila Cabello’s all purple outfit or singer Kim Petras’ equestrian themed dress. Several designers and celebrities, however, communicated meaningful and intriguing messages through their looks.
