As Valentine’s Day nears, The Vanguard decided to test if love is really in the air with two blind dates. Based on responses to a survey asking students about themselves and their preferences in a relationship, The Vanguard set up one compatible date Saanika Raina and Nico Bers (both ‘23), who matched on seven out of seven responses—and one incompatible date—Gillian Goddard and Daniel Wang (both ‘22), who matched on three responses—to answer an age-old question: do opposites really attract?
