Eighteen Middle School (MS) students streamed into the Lower Library Commons on Nov. 17 for their weekly hour-long newspaper meeting. All contributing to the MS newspaper — The Spark — these students kicked off the brainstorming process for their next issue’s content. The Spark publishes four issues yearly under the guidance of MS English Teacher Ethan Rossiter ’93. The students collaborated in groups, asking questions and researching topics online, as Mr. Rossiter spoke with each student about developing their ideas. Five members of The Vanguard traveled to the MS to hear the experiences of The Spark’s eighth-grade leaders.
