Spring 2012: Knews and Knotes

Despite losing the ISL championship to Belmont Hill in its last league game of the year, baseball had a strong season with a 16-5 record. Captain Rhett Wiseman ’12 was selected as a Gatorade Player of the Year.

The Varsity Softball team finishes its season with a record of 16-6, near the top of the ISL. Courtney Erickson ’14 threw three no-hitters and newcomer Katie Burt ’15 batted over .500.

After compiling a 11-1 record, Boys Varsity Crew finished at the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association (NEIRA) Championships in 7th place.

The team ends its season with a 7-8 record, finishing 14th at NEIRA. First boat qualified for the petite finals and came in fifth.

Despite its rough start, the Varsity Gold team ended the year with a record of 6-16-2, finishing eighth at the Kingman tournament. Monica Chow ’12 became the first ever female number one with a winning record in the ISL.

The Boys Lacrosse team fought through a tough season to compile a record of 5-11. It capped off the season with a close 7-6 win over division rival Belmont Hill.

Girls Varsity Lacrosse finished with a competitive record of 7-9. Skylar Caligaris ’12 and Victoria Moore ’13 were chosen to represent the school on the ISL All-Star team.

Sailing compiled a strong 5-3 record in league play. The team finished eighth in the Mass Bay League Championship and competed in the Mass State Championship regatta.

Boys Varsity Tennis overcame a rough 0-3 start to finish with a winning record of 11-7. It qualified for the class B New England Prep School Invitational Tennis Tournament.

Girls Varsity Tennis captured its second consecutive winning season with a strong 11-5 record, capping the season with a 15-0 shutout of Lawrence.
